From cherubs to hotrods & harleys

"If you want to be happy, be." ~Leo Tolstoy

I've gotten a bit off track with my photography in recent months. Feeling not at all inspired. Mostly just disillusioned. But in the last couple of weeks, I've re-discovered my passion and inspiration all over again. I've gained a whole new perspective. I'd forgotten for a time, why it was that I loved photography so much in the first place. Now I've got ideas for some wonderful new series that I want to create - and I can't wait to get started. I'm heading in a whole new direction now.

Recently I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. He in turn put me onto a friend of his... and two weeks later, I'm off to shoot at the American & British Motorcycle Club's custom car and bike show. I realised a few weeks ago, that life hasn't been a whole lot of fun lately. I needed to do something about that. And shooting hotrods and harleys is exactly the kind of fun I'm looking for. I have been a lover of motorbikes and cars for most of my life. It's something that started with my very first boyfriend, and it's been in my blood ever since. I was reminded of that a few weeks ago, when I was in Cowes for the night market. The Kustom Nationals were happening on the Island at the same time, and I found myself wishing I could be there instead. I had become really fed up with the whole market thing, and all I wanted to do was turn my back and walk away from it all. That was the turning point. So, today I'm off to shoot hotrods and harleys!

I haven't had much experience with this type of photography up until now - but I'm really looking forward to it. Who knows what doors it just might open.
