The next best thing

"Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into."
~Henry Beecher (1904 - 1976)

"Give me odorous at sunrise a garden of beautiful flowers where I can walk undisturbed."
~Walt Whitman (1819 – 1892)

"I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers."
~Claude Monet (1840 – 1926)

When you don't end up shooting horses, the next best thing to shoot, of course, is roses. I decided it wasn't worth doing a shoot at the Autumn Classic yesterday after all, the event was too small. I'll wait until the major that is happening this weekend. It was far too beautiful a day to waste, so I popped over to the state rose garden next door to the Equestrian Centre, and shot roses instead. :)
