For the love of the horse

Ok, so much for spending more time on my blog. Best intentions and all that stuff...

The lovely Anne doesn't know it yet, but I've been very busy reworking some of my equine images over the past week or so - including a few of hers. I'm setting up separate equine galleries on my website, and revamping things a bit. I've reworked a number of the images from my original 'Polo Series' and given them a much dirtier, grungier look - largely, thanks to some awesomely good 'peeling paint' textures (middle image) of my own that I've had tucked away in my personal library - the result of a photo shoot nearly two and a half years ago. Can't believe it's taken me this long to find a use for them. The new 'Polo' gallery should be ready to go tomorrow.

Equine art is something I really want to expand on. Vintage-inspired, commissioned photo shoots - with people who love their horses every bit as much as I used to love mine. Happy I will be, if I can make my mark as an equine photographer/artist. I really love doing this kind of art. I've had a fun time reworking the Polo shots. I've found that horse activities (dressage, showing etc) lend themselves perfectly to the vintage-style of processing I so love to do. And I would really love to do a heap more of this kind of work.
